THE PROBABILITY OF SUCCESSFULLY NAVIGATING AN ASTEROID FIELD IS APPROXIMATELY THREE THOUSAND, SEVEN HUNDRED AND TWENTY TO ONE

In summer 2008, we held an open call for volunteers to come and recount the plot from the original three Star Wars films. Participants were asked to wear black and retell the story to the best of their ability, on camera, alone in the studio.

The resulting footage was exhibited on twelve monitors, as part of GM08 at The Soap Factory. In the space, the viewer is confronted with a cacophony of people simultaneously recounting their interpretations, any single extract of which can seem utterly absurd.
